Quality EMS provides emergency response to 6 municipalities:

  • Forward
  • Mars
  • Middlesex
  • Valencia

We answer 3000 emergency calls per year and have three advanced life support ambulances. We also provide mutual aid to several surrounding communities.

Quality EMS sits on the UPMC Passavant Hospital STEMI committee.

Developed in house protocol to treat STEMI (heart attack) patients and expedite definitive treatment at the hospital.

Exceptional first medical contact to balloon time even with transport distance to UPMC Passavant Hospital (90-minute goal – Quality EMS has achieved as low as 59 minutes).

First UPMC Consolidated Medical Command service to be authorized to perform surgical airways.

Initiated State BLS (EMT) pilot program for Nitrous Oxide.

Use of video laryngoscopes for airway management.

Fully Credentialed EMT’s – 12 leads, CPAP, Breathing treatments, Epi administration.
